This class is a Core Class and used in lieu of the Department STUC for Studio Access during the term

Class Meets: Wednesdays, 7pm-10pm

Advance in the fabrication methods used with functional, decorative, or sculptural metal objects. Learn to translate concept to design, choosing the material and process that best suit the form and function desired. Students work on independent projects throughout the course with one-on-one attention given. Group demonstrations and exercises, class discussions, and critiques will be used to assist each student with their creative metalworking goals.

Please note: Open to Students who have completed at least one previous FMF100- or FMF200-level Core Class. Attendance in the first class is mandatory. Project material fees not included. Open Studio Access and Advanced Studio Access times available for additional fee. Natural fiber clothing, long pants, and closed-toe shoes are required while working at CIADC. Complete information given during class #1.
