Ages: 16+
New Students will work on guided projects while gaining fundamental skills with the lost wax casting process: design for casting, modeling the form, wax work and spruing, investment mold making, metal casting, and finishing. Returning Students will further their skillsets through personal projects with instructor guidance.
Note: No experience required. Attendance in the first session is mandatory for New Students. Natural fiber clothing, long pants, and closed-toe shoes are required while working at CIADC. Project material fees are not included and can be purchased at CIADC. Total material cost for beginning project is approximately $20-$30.
