The Chicago Industrial Arts & Design Center (CIADC), in conjunction with Chicago Artists Month (CAM), presents Architecture: Form and Feature, a group exhibition at the CIADC Member Gallery.
What draws us to specific architectural construction, both contemporary and historic? What elements help us to identify with our built environment? Architecture: Form and Feature puts these question into the hands of CIADC Members by investigating architectural forms and features and presenting these elements in the context of indoor objects. Pieces will explore the role that design, scale, proportion, material, detail, color, setting, history, etc. play in connecting us to the built environment and in how one relates to these elements when taken out of context.
Artists featured include: Janet Austin, David Curry, Victoria Fuller, Emily McCormick, and Victor Nelson
Exhibit Dates: October 4 - November 14, 2015
Opening Reception: October 4, 12pm-4pm during our CAM Open House
Closing Reception: November 8, 12pm-4pm during our CAM Open House
